For the updating the staff College organises
several national and state seminars
by peers in addition to several departmental
seminars by our teachers and other eminent
persons from outside for the uplifting
the dtudents. Some department also arrange
seminars by students for enhancing through
of their knowledge |

Open Theatre-Stage :
 |
The
Teachers' Council publishes, its annual
journal, Sampan, based on contributions
by the teachers. Serious academic articles
as well as literary pieces such as poems,
short stories, short plays enrich the
pages of the journal. Former teachers
also contribute in Sampan, which has already
drawn critical appreciation of the academic
community of different colleges. |

Students' Co-curricular Activities:
|

To encourage the students
for various co-curricular activities,
several students' committees viz.
cultural committee, Games and Sports
committee have been constituted with
teachers as advisors. Cultural Committee
organizes the annual cultural programme
with enthusiasm and joy. The Games and
Sports Committee organizes annual sports
meet. Students often participate in
various inter-state and state-level
competitions. Every year, 2nd August
is observed as the Foundation Day. On
this day. we undertake plantation programme.
The students also organize a grand
Freshers Welcome, Farewell to induct
the newcomers. |

Activities :
An Auditorium cum Boy's
Common Room is equipped with major indoor game
facilities like table tennis, carom, cards, chess
etc. The College provides a large playground
facility for football and cricket.

Social Welfare :

The College involves students to instil a
sense of civic responsibility, by organizing
programmes, like Blood donation Camp, Health
awareness programme, Thallassemia detection camp
etc. With a view to improve community development
in the vicinity of the College as well as society,
in general the College is engaged in various mass
awareness and welfare programmes, like child
literacy programme, literacy-health-agriculture
programme. |
Financial Aids :

Arrangement of scholarship/financial
assistance from various Government and
Non-Government organizations is made by the
collage authority. The college authority gives
concession of fees for poor and meritorious
students.
